The Ceol Mor composition contest deadline for final submissions are usually four to six months after the initial announcement for entries.

During the month after the deadline, at the end of the first round of judging, notices are made to the composers of each of the three top entries that their work has been placed within the top three. When the composers agree to be awarded the prizes, the final ranking of the top three entries are announced on PipingPress.com, this website, and the Facebook pages of the sponsors. The monetary awards are then dispersed within 30 days of the announcement by paypal payment.

The winning entries are posted on PipingPress.com, and all composers are encouraged to broadcast their work to the public to promote the widest dissemination and availability of the composers work.
